Affiliate Policy and Disclosures

Where possible, I use affiliate links when linking to other web sites. This helps to pay the costs of maintaining this web site.

What is this?

An affiliate link identifies to the linked site that you got to them from my site. If you buy something from them, they will give me some money as commission for the sale.

Why?

I don’t really like random ads. I don’t want to sell a block on my web site so somebody else (an ad network) can decide what goes in there. On the other hand, creating content takes time and hosting a web site costs money. With that in mind, I will try to use affiliate links wherever I write about a product I like, or recommend that you buy a product or use a service. This way I can try to make a little money to pay for site maintenance but also be sure that anything that is linked from my web site is something I actually trust and/or believe in.
